GPS means less stress on the environment in Malmö

215 215, a Malmö based delivery company, uses the latest GPS technology and has adopted a number of environmentally friendly behaviours, after focusing on providing sound transport solutions for its customers.

Changing habits

Within CIVITAS SMILE the City of Malmö has tried new ways to raise awareness of transportation habits by showing sound alternatives to new citizens.

1,500 households have received a personal letter about two weeks after they moved into their new homes, explaining how they can make use of environmentally sound transportation options in Malmö and that they would be contacted.

Carl Bro Group is currently working, together with the Environmental Protection Agency of Copenhagen, on a review of around 700 soil contamination cases.

The Soil Contamination Act is the foundation for the assessment of contaminated land; but the criteria for categorising cases in more detail are being developed by the Environmental Protection Agency of Copenhagen and Carl Bro Group together.

With three hundred City-Bikes parked on the Copenhagen town square, a new season has started for the world famous free bike option.

 

When you tour the city you notice, that especially tourists love riding the City-Bikes. Some even regard them as a major tourist attraction! But don't get surprised, if you see an official looking clerk riding a City-Bike on his way across town, because s/he is late for a meeting.. The City-Bike is for all.
